long, I just loved doing it!<\/p>\n<p>Even though I had a lot of homework, I somehow managed to finish a whole book just for a couple of days.<\/p>\n<p>Today I need more time to complete this task, so what is the reason?<\/p>\n<p>Of course, we have the obvious reasons, that take up most of our time like work and other responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>But the biggest difference is hiding in my brain, and probably in yours as well.<\/p>\n<p>The keyword is concentration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hard-to-concentrate.jpg\"><img height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the past children had to do two things after school \u2013 write their homework and read a couple of pages from a book.<\/p>\n<p>Adults were trying to create this habit so their children could learn to concentrate at a very young age.<\/p>\n<p>And obviously it worked because it helped kids focus their attention for a longer time.<\/p>\n<p>This was also very good for their imagination.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately,<a href=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/technology-and-eyes\/?utm_source=technology-and-our-brain&amp;utm_medium=technology&amp;utm_campaign=technology-and-our-brain\"> technology<\/a> conditions the brain to pay attention to the information in a slightly different way.<\/p>\n<p><a multitasking.<\/p>\n<p>This is very interesting because actually it is proven that our brain can`t focus its attention on two different things at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>So it\u2019s the same with children.<\/p>\n<p>They watch TV, pay attention to the screen but don`t focus the same way that they do when they read a book.<\/p>\n<p>Children`s brains nowadays are just wired in a slightly media<\/h2>\n<p>There is this modern fear in young people that they are always missing out on something.<\/p>\n<p>The roots of this fear lay in social media and its impact on our mental health.<\/p>\n<p>We see all of these beautiful people on Instagram or Facebook and they are living their life.<\/p>\n<p>They are going to parties, concerts, traveling, going here and there.<\/p>\n<p>And as proof, that they are living to the fullest, they always have a photo to post.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s not bad to take pictures and remember happy moments, but it becomes a
