What is a deutan?<\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/h1>\n

Deutans are people with Deuteranomaly<\/strong>, a type of red-green color blindness in which the green cones do not detect enough green and are too sensitive to yellows, oranges, and reds.<\/p>\n

As a result, greens, yellows, oranges, reds, and browns may appear similar, especially in low light. It can also be difficult to tell the difference between blues and purples, or pinks and grays.<\/p>\n

When all green cones are missing the Deuteranomaly<\/strong> condition is called\u00a0Deuteranopia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Deuteranopia<\/h1>\n

Deutans with\u00a0Deuteranopia (also called green-blind) are Dichromats.<\/p>\n

In this case the medium wavelength sensitive cones (green) are missing at all. A deuteranope can only distinguish 2 to 3 different hues, whereas somebody with normal vision sees 7 different hues.<\/p>\n

Deuteranomaly<\/h1>\n

Deutans with\u00a0Deuteranomaly\u00a0(green-weak) are\u00a0Anomalous Trichromats.<\/p>\n

This can be everything between almost normal color vision and deuteranopia. The green sensitive cones are not missing in this case, but the peak of sensitivity is moved towards the red sensitive cones.<\/p>\n

How Deutans see the world?<\/h1>\n

To Deutan the above images will look almost the same.<\/p>\n

How to setup Vision for Deutans?<\/h1>\n

From the Setup menu choose Deuteranopia.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The colors of the screen will now change. Screen colors are daltonized in real-time.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This is general preset for people with Deuteranomaly and you should now be able to distinguish more colors.<\/p>\n

If you want more fine control you can buy Vision Pro<\/strong><\/a>. With the Pro version of Vision you can customize the Severity of your color vision deficiency and the Color adjustment applied to the screen.<\/p>\n

The recommended Severity<\/strong> for Complete Deutans\u00a0<\/strong>is 75-100%.<\/p>\n

Move the Color adjustment<\/strong> slider as you like. For best color discrimination use the most left or right position of the slider. Values in the center have really small color correction.<\/p>\n
