People with color blindness often also confuse blue and purple, and see pink as a shade of gray or white.<\/p>\n<p>When all red cones are missing the <strong>Protanomaly\u00a0<\/strong>condition is called\u00a0<strong>Protanopia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h1>Protanopia<\/h1>\n<p>Protans with Protanopia (also called red-blind) are Dichromats.<\/p>\n<p>In this case the long wavelength sensitive cones (red) are missing at all. A protanope can only distinguish 2 to 3 different hues, whereas somebody with normal vision sees 7 different hues.<\/p>\n<h1>Protanomaly<\/h1>\n<p>Protans with Protanomaly (red-weak) are\u00a0Anomalous Trichromats.<\/p>\n<p>This can be everything between almost normal color vision and protanopia. The red sensitive cones are not missing in this case, but the peak of sensitivity is moved towards the green sensitive cones.<\/p>\n<h1>How Protans see the world?<\/h1>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3519 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/art-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3520 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/art_p.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><center><\/center><\/center>To Protan the above images will look almost the same.<\/p>\n<h1>How to setup Vision for Protans?<\/h1>\n<p>From the Setup menu choose Protanopia.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3521 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/vision-setup-protanopia.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"462\" height=\"462\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The colors of the screen will now change. Screen colors are daltonized in real-time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3522\" src=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/setup-protanopia.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"455\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is general preset for people with Protanomaly and you should now be able to distinguish more colors.<\/p>\n<p>If you want more fine control you can buy <a href=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/buy-vision\/\"><strong>Vision Pro<\/strong><\/a>. With the Pro version of Vision you can customize the Severity of your color vision deficiency and the Color adjustment applied to the screen.<\/p>\n<p>The recommended <strong>Severity<\/strong> for<strong> Moderate Protans\u00a0<\/strong>is 25-50%.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3526\" src=\"https:\/\/iristech.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/moderate-deuteranopia-severity-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"310\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Move the <strong>Color adjustment<\/strong> slider as you like. For best color discrimination use the most left or right position of the slider.
